VINTAGE CHINESE WOOD STATUE OF FISHERMAN

This listing is for a beautiful wooden statue hand carved with intricate detail of a Fisherman, he is crouched down on a rock next to the ocean. He had just caught a fresh fish and is ready to add it to his basket.

As one can see from the photographs, this piece is in very good condition especially for its age. Any cracks you might see are not handling damages. These are cracks that occurred naturally or during the process of hand carving. He has a crack on his left wrist and some natural wood splitting. There are very few handling marks. Please see pictures. The wood looks like solid rosewood but we can’t say for sure. The photographs taken do not depict the true beauty and craftsmanship of this art work.
