VINTAGE CHINESE WOOD STATUE OF SLEEPING BUDDHA

This listing is for a beautiful wooden statue hand carved with intricate detail of a Sleeping Buddha on a wooden stand, she is resting without worry on a pillow and the whole carving is one solid piece of wood.

As one can see from the photographs, this piece is in very good condition especially for its age. Any cracks you might see are not handling damages. These are cracks that occurred naturally or during the process of hand carving. There are very few handling marks has some natural wood splitting please see pictures. The wood looks like solid rosewood but we can’t say for sure. The photographs taken do not depict the true beauty and craftsmanship of this art work.
